Guided Walks around the Hill
Sunday, 10 June
Led by Jonathan Edwards, this walk principally centres on historical aspects of Waldron Road, Crown Street and Nelson Road. Participants of the walk may also wish to partake of the the Open Gardens event on the same afternoon – certain local gardens will be open to the public for a charge of £5, with proceeds being divided between St. Luke’s Hospice and St. Mary’s Church Spire.

‘The Quirky side of Harrow’s history’, led by Judith Shepherd.
Details : Start 1pm @ The Lynchgate outside St Mary’s Church. Finish 2pm.
In conjunction with Harrow heritage fortnight, this guided walk provides an entertaining, informative and light-hearted summary of the quirky side of Harrow’s history. Starting from St Mary’s Church, we will progress up the High Street to the green, with stories of Harrow’s past, selected to delight and enlighten all ages with audience participation at intervals.
St Mary’s Church will be open all day, with tours of the bell tower and a chance to see the new roof during the afternoon. The Spire Cafe will be open 10am to 4pm serving delicious home-cooked brunches, teas and lunches.
