On Wednesday 25th January, David Valinsky entertained 40 of us to a most fascinating talk about the architect & Harrow resident E.S. Prior which was very informative and full of local history & facts.
We look foward to seeing David's publication that the Trust has sponsored.
On Sunday 18th December at 4.30pm, our annual event took place in good weather with many of our local residents attending - we estimate about 300 of you! As always, thank you to the Salvation Army for attending and providing the musical accompaniment, and to Stephen Woodward for providing hot choc & mince pies afterwards.

Schools other than Harrow School on the Hill
Having taken the summer off for a well deserved rest, Jonathan will have a spring in his step for his Autumn walk!

Sherpa Jonathan kindly agreed to lead local children over the Hill to view the "horrible, scary, ghastly"! Over 30 people arrived on 11th June - our second biggest walk ever!!!

A selection of characters associated with St. Mary’s Church
Jonathan lead us on his second walk about various characters - a poet, a railway ticket inspector, a Victorian social reformer and others. This walk concluded at the Church’s Summer Fete.
Harrow Hill Trust Kids Club held a "Fun Swim" at Harrow School Sports Centre on Saturday 19th March, a blissfully sunny afternoon with an hour of swimming in the pool followed by refreshments kindly donated by HHT members (especially the fairy cakes!).
There were 20 local children in the pool and the committee managed to raise about £60 for Penniwells Riding Centre which provides riding for the disabled.
Places of Worship, Part 2: St. Mary’s Church
On the 8th May Jonathan Edwards starts his series of 2011 walks on the Hill with the Places of Worship - St. Mary’s Church. For this walk he will supported by Churchwarden Pauline Chandler.
St. Mary’s is perhaps Harrow’s most iconic feature, with a long and fascinating history.
The Green, outside Blues. Adults £3, concessions £2, children free. Sunday 8th May, 2.30pm
Dawn Chorus Walk
Guided by Michael Robinson, this is a rare opportunity to experience Harrow School’s otherwise private nature reserve, Newlands Woods, and golf course to identify birds, mainly through their song.
