Sudbury Arts Festival 2013 - 26th to 29th September

The Arts Festival is a new project for Sudbury, one which we plan to make an annual event with the Sudbury Town Residents’ Association.

The aim is to showcase individuals and groups with talents in the Arts, Music, Crafts and Dance, using the historical and diverse richness of the buildings and churches in the area of Sudbury.

There will be workshops in performing arts for children and adults, including: street dance, and African drumming.

The internationally known Diva Opera Company will open the event on Thursday 26^th September with a gala performance at St Andrews Church, Watford Road.    Harrow on the Hill’s very own John Lyon School will be performing their Founders Day concert with a mass by Hayden, at St Georges Church, Harrow Road, on Friday 27^th September.

Multi genre music will be performed by local groups, gospel singers and the powerful sound of the DHOL drummers are just a small example of the musical programme being held at other venues, times to be announced.

Visual arts will be represented by local sculptors, artists and photographers.   Contact us if you would like to be involved, or if you would like to sponsor an event, or have your work displayed for sale.   There are opportunities for advertising in our Festival programme. 

An exhibition of hand crafted quilts will set the scene for a Vintage Tea and craft stalls in the ground of the Methodist Church, Harrow Road.

Wembley Football Club will also be hosting events over the weekend.
