On 9th May, Jonathan Edwards will be starting his series of walks for 2010 with Places of Worship. Although St. Mary's Church is 'the most visible' church on The Hill, this walk looks at the many other places of worship - Christ Church, Roxeth; a Welsh Congregational Church; a former Mission House and former Baptist Church. (St. Mary's will feature on a future walk.). We will meet on the Green on the High Street, outside Shaw's (the former post office)/Blues restaurant and will leave at 14.30pm, Adults £3, Concessions £2, Children free.

On 27th June, Jonathan Edwards will be striding out again with us for Roxeth Hill and Middle Road. Roxeth Hill played host to the development of local health services in the 19th and 20th centuries, providing the location for two of Harrow's original hospitals. Middle Road contained a number of shops and some fine buildings by local architect E. S. Prior. We will meet on the Green on the High Street, outside Shaw's (the former post office)/Blues restaurant and will leave at 14.30pm, Adults £3, Concessions £2, Children free.

Sunday 12th September 2010, 2.30pm
On 12th September, having rested over the summer, Jonathan will lead his final walk for this year with Quirky Corners of the Hill. When is a window not a window? The eagles have landed - but where were they previously, and why did they move? Where is - allegedly - the smallest house in Middlesex? Find out the answers to these and and other questions when we look at some of the quirkier aspects of The Hill. We will meet on the Green on the High Street, outside Shaw's (the former post office)/Blues restaurant and will leave at 14.30pm, Adults £3, Concessions £2, Children free.
